We have designed a new face for Staedtler, which has a long history as a manufacturer of writing and drafting instruments and has built a solid position as a highly reliable brand, without losing its image.
The shape of each part, from the nib to the nock, as well as the color and texture, are all elements of a mechanical pencil for drafting, and by carefully crafting each element and balancing the overall design, we have created a professional tool with the reliability typical of Staedtler.
In the nib, the size of the metal parts has been made smaller than that of conventional products to reduce weight, while balancing the overall weight to realize a writing instrument that does not tire even after prolonged use.
The elastomer grip, which functions as a non-slip grip, has been lengthened to provide a sense of stability for writing, regardless of how the pen is held.
Other features include a hardness indicator window that shows the hardness of the lead being used, and a nock part with a ventilation hole that secures the airway and prevents choking if a small child accidentally swallows the pencil.
The design aims to set a new standard for mechanical pencils for drafting.
