Artisan-specified knives that convey the “beauty of use”

A set of eight cutting knives stored in a special case made of paulownia wood. Each knife has its own name and specific function, and can be used for various tasks such as cutting, trimming, peeling, splitting, carving, and shaving. The handle is wrapped in a decorative knot, which is unique to Japan, to enhance the beauty and grip. Echizen Uchihamono(Forged blades), which has an established reputation as a traditional industry, was once used by mountain craftsmen all over the country, and is still highly regarded for its sharpness, especially with the establishment of the unique culture of Echizen sickles. This series was designed to convey the “beauty of use” of tools that are actually used by craftsmen for manufacturing.
