デザイン事業部は、さまざまなデザイン案件を受託する事業部です。ビジュアルデザインの構築にとどまらず、先の3つのデザイン思考の観点から問題の抽出を行い、理想的な正解を求めてクライアントの複数部門との協議を重ね、情報を共有していきます。そこから合意のもと抽出されたプレデザインは、部門間のハードルが低くなることから、次のステップのビジュアル化を加速させ、後戻りのない高効率のプロジェクトが可能となります。また、問題解決ベースのデザインのため、美しいデザインで市場競争力を持つことは勿論、社会課題解決によるCSRやCSV、SDGsの実践などで、企業イメージにも貢献していく考え方をクライアントと共有しています。

The Design Division is a division that undertakes various design projects. In addition to constructing visual designs, we extract problems from the three design thinking perspectives mentioned earlier, and make discussions repeatedly and share information with multiple divisions of clients in search of the ideal correct answer.The pre-design extracted from this process based on consensus lowers the hurdle between departments, which accelerates the visualization of the next step and enables highly efficient projects with no backtracking. In addition, because our design is problem-solving based, we share with our clients the idea of not only being competitive in the market with beautiful designs, but also contributing to their corporate image by practicing CSR, CSV, and SDGs through solving social issues.

ハーズデザインファンド事業部は、SDGsなど必要とされる社会問題に取り組み、さらに成長性に期待が持てるプロジェクトに対し、当社がデザイン投資で支援する日本初のデザインファンド事業です。開発時に発生する企画、デザイン費用を当社が負担し、生産後にロイヤリティ、株式上場益等の方法で回収する仕組みによって、スタートアップの資金不足で脆弱になりがちな企画、デザインやブランディングなどをしっかりサポートしていきます。また試作チェックや生産フォローなど、デザインワーク完了後もマーケットインするまでの伴走支援を行い、クライアントの夢をデザインの力で現実にする事業を行っています。

The Hers Design Fund Division is the first design fund business in Japan that supports projects that address social issues such as the SDGs and have high growth potential through our design investment. We bear the planning and design costs incurred at the time of development, and recover them after production through royalties, gains from stock listing, and other means, thereby providing solid support for planning, design, and branding, which tend to be vulnerable due to lack of startup funds. We also provide support after the design work is completed, such as prototype checks and production follow-ups, until the product is ready for the market.

当社とVCのアライアンスで構成されているデザインファンドパターンです。従来のハーズデザインファンドは、上市までデザインワークに掛かる費用を負担して伴走支援していますが、投資に相当するデザイン費用は1000万円までに制限しております。上場を目指す起業家のためには、ブランディングなどさらなるデザイン面でのサポートが必要になるため、私たちが支援するデザインファンドの一部をVCが負担することで、企画の目利きから上市までの一貫した伴走支援を確実なエグジットに導きます。独自技術や新規性のあるビジネスモデルを有し、それによって地域貢献や社会貢献が果たされ、将来成長が期待できるベンチャー企業に対し、5年程度のイグジットを目安に私たちとVCで投資を行います。

The pattern of this design fund consists of an alliance between our company and a VC.　 Conventional hers design fund covers the cost of the design work until the product is launched and provides companionship support, but the design cost corresponding to the investment is limited to 10 million yen. Since entrepreneurs who aim to go public will need additional design support, the VCs will bear a portion of the design fund we support to ensure that our accompaniment support from the connoisseurship of the plan to the launch leads to a successful exit. We and our VCs will invest in venture companies that have unique technologies and novel business models that can contribute to the local community and society, and are expected to grow in the future, with a target exit date of about five years.

Produce Division

デザインの果たす役割を大義に捉え、デザインで社会課題の適正解を創る。The role of design should be seen in a broad sense, and design should be used to find the best answers to social issues.

企業に対しては、経営資源にデザインを活用し、デザイン経営の見地からブランディングや商品開発を再構築するプロジェクト。行政に対しては、地域資源から活用できる感性ポテンシャルを抽出し、地元の企業のコアコンピタンスで実現させる地場産振興プロジェクト。教育の観点からは、大学・研究開発のイノベーティブで未成熟な案件を、デザイン思考を通じてサステナブルな事業へ導くプロジェクト。このように、さまざまな分野において、ビジュアルデザインの構築だけにとどまらず、永続的な事業運営のための適正解をデザイン思考によって導き出し、現実化していきます。

For companies, projects that utilize design as a management resource and reconstruct branding and product development from the perspective of design management. For governments, projects that extract the sensibility potential that can be utilized from local resources and realize it with the core competence of local companies to promote local products. From an educational perspective, a project to lead innovative and immature projects of universities and R&D to sustainable business through design thinking. In this way, in a variety of fields, we not only construct visual designs, but also use design thinking to derive the right solutions for lasting business operations and turn them into reality.

METAPHYS Division

「企業コンソーシアムで1つのブランドを共有する」という考え方。The concept of "sharing a single brand with a consortium of companies".

アリストテレスの没後300年を経て、紀元前1世紀後半に全14篇からなる「METAPHYSICS」が編纂されました。その冒頭にある「人はその本性として知ることを好む」は、2300年前も今も変わらず、人には探求心があることを表現しています。METAPHYSの語源はここから来ました。常識に囚われずモノの本質を探究し、枝葉をそぎ落し、ミニマルな記号に置き換えることで、一つ一つのMETAPHYSができているのです。このモノづくりの思想に賛同する複数の企業がコンソーシアム体となって1つのブランドを共有し、個々の企業ではできないスケールメリットを販路、ブランディングに生かしています。

In the late first century B.C., 300 years after Aristotle's death, the "METAPHYSICS" was compiled, consisting of 14 essays.Its opening line, "Man, in his nature, loves to know," expresses the fact that 2300 years ago and today, people still have the same spirit of inquiry. The word "METAPHYS" originates from this idea. Each METAPHYS item is created by searching for the essence of things without being bound by common sense, eliminating branches and leaves, and replacing them with minimalistic symbols.A consortium of companies that agree with this philosophy of manufacturing share a single brand and make use of the merits of scale to develop sales channels and branding that that individual companies cannot do on their own.
